BSC
BSC is a base station controller for GSM radio access networks. Based on a cloud-native containerized architecture, it runs on the Kubernetes platform and works with the MGW media gateway, Gb-proxy Gb interface gateway, and OAM unified network management components to build a complete GSM BSS radio access system.
As the core control element on the radio side of a GSM network, the BSC connects downward to BTSs through the Abis over IP interface for radio resource management, channel assignment, and operation and maintenance control. It connectis upward to the MSC through A over IP and to the SGSN through the Gb interface, handling voice call signaling and forwarding GPRS packet data.
